My teaching goals and philosophy are driven by my journey as an interdisciplinary and problem-solving academic in the fields of political science, public policy, economics, public affairs, and environmental studies. In the classroom, I endeavor to create opportunities where students can develop their ability to understand and evaluate complex concepts while also building their own arguments based on the comprehensive analysis of topics related to their own interests. This teaching philosophy of mine is based on learner-centered approaches of active-learning and problem-solving that underscore inclusivity and diversity in educational techniques and contents.
I have experience teaching 12 regular semesters and 4 summer semesters at University of Colorado Boulder (CU Boulder, 2018-2024), and 4 semesters worth of teaching experience at Yonsei University (2015-2017).
